Requirements
The three main requirements for Insights in Haiilo Home are:
- License
- Permissions
- Team structure
This means that in order to be able to use Insights in general, it must first be activated for your license.
Then, the users who will use Insights as admins need the following permission:
- Company dashboard access
An admin always has access to all Insights content.
Users who are to use Insights as a manager only need this authorization:
- Access to dashboard (managers)
A manager has access only to the Insights content that is assigned to his team. Who belongs to a manager's team is controlled by the hierarchy imported from the user directory with the "Supervisor" option.
A team structure is required for Insights. For this to exist, Haiilo Home must be connected to a user directory of the LDAP or Active Directory type and the users must be synchronized from this. In addition, the option "Supervisor" must be set in the sync configuration of the user directory. Only in this way does Insights know which user belongs to which team and which manager is therefore allowed to view which Insights content.
Note:
This does not currently work with a user directory of the MS Graph or Google Workspace type.
Configuration
Login
Insights is displayed within Haiilo Home as "Surveys" in the navigation. The login from Home therefore also works as a login for Insights.
When Insights is opened by the user, they have access to responses, campaigns, feedback, and organization, depending on their permissions.
User synchronization
All active users of your Haiilo Home are always synchronized automatically and are therefore included in Insights.
Note:
Users who are created as external community members are not synchronized to Insights.
All users' profile fields are also synchronized so that Insights content can be filtered based on them.
Questions, campaigns & feedback
You can of course create your own campaigns and questions, as well as provide feedback on answered questions.

Insights offers the following languages to create your own translations for your questions:

What is the difference between an admin and a manager in Insights?
The difference between admin and manager in this case is that admins can read and write to everything and managers can only read the users they are assigned to.
