With the COYO app version 4.0, your Homepages are accessed natively.
Homepages form the entry gate to your digital home and present news and updates that are oriented towards target groups.
Note:
To use Homepages in the COYO app, you need Cloud version 32.0.0+ or LTS 28.6.0+.
Setting options
In your COYO Administration under the tab "Homepages", you specify whether your Homepages should also be displayed in the mobile version and, if so, which. If there are several Homepages, you have the option of orienting the entry for your users specifically for the mobile view.
Note:
This selection concerns both the COYO app and COYO Classic and can only be activated if the option "Custom URL" isn't used.
At the start, the mobile Homepages of the COYO app won’t show all of our widgets. The following widgets are supported:
- Latest blog articles
- Latest files
- Latest wiki articles
- Poll
- User profile
Since the version 33 Cloud release, you can use the smartphone icon to identify in the widget catalog of your COYO instance which widgets are also available for mobile use.
Please note that all necessary permissions for your users also need to be activated so that interaction can take place on your Homepages:
- Homepages must generally be activated:
Administration > User administration > Roles > General > Access Homepages - Homepages must be activated for the mobile app:
Administration > User administration > Roles > COYO app > Access Homepages
Note:
Users who have the permission "Manage Homepages" see all active Homepages in the COYO app.
Users who have activated the browser in moderator mode see all active and inactive Homepages.
Layout and structure of the COYO app
The layout of the native app differs somewhat from your browser view. Homepages, the timeline, and news are individual modules and do not run together on one page here. If the modules timeline and news are activated, they are displayed before the Homepages. A navigation bar enables you to access the other modules/Homepages using a slider.
- Timeline (if activated)
- News (if activated),
- Homepages. In the order in which they were sorted by the admin.
Arrangement of the widgets
Your Homepages are set up with widgets. If you are in "Edit layout" mode, you have the option "Hide on a cell phone". This allows you to perfectly create the mobile view.
Note:
Do you have user groups who only work on a computer and user groups who only access the mobile version of your digital home? Create several Homepages and optimize the display for both user groups.
The widgets on your Homepage in the web version are viewed in a "Z shape", beginning in the top row, from the left column to the right column, and from top to bottom within each column.
Example:
This Homepage would look as follows in the mobile app:
