Microsoft stopped development on its product Internet Explorer back in 2015. Support was also finally stopped in August 2020. Internet Explorer is an outdated product.
Technology changes quickly. Some web-based products have already stopped working with Internet Explorer. So, if you access websites or programs that use HTML 5.12, JS2042, or CSS 4, for instance, there will already be display problems, that can no longer be changed.
COYO will stop supporting Internet Explorer in early 2021.
The end of support for IE11 will happen in two steps. With version 31, our developers will no longer take into account the particular features of IE11. Our product testers will also no longer test new COYO functionalities in this browser.
From V32, COYO will finally no longer work in IE11. By doing this, we will ensure that you have the ideal COYO experience and that all of the functions are available to you in full.
As a result, we recommend: Plan the prompt roll-out of a current browser now!
Do you need even more reasons to switch to a new browser?
Even Microsoft365 has completely stopped the further development of its tool landscape with regard to IE11. This causes restricted user experiences and the programs in the M365 world will no longer function over the long term when accessed via IE11. Even the head of Microsoft Cybersecurity advises against using Internet Explorer.
And we can also provide you with reasons from within COYO:
- IE11 limits the usability and performance of the software
- IE11 prevents us from implementing modern accessibility standards
- IE11 slows down our development process and thus innovation by 10-20%
