The COYO app offers your users a mobile channel to the company. The focus here lies on interaction and the consumption of information, not on the administration of your digital home. Our app is continuously further developed and partly differs in terms of its functions from your COYO in a browser. In this article, we’ll look at the possibilities offered by the COYO app and to what extent you can optionally activate these modules via Administration.
Chat
The channel module (chat) allows users to communicate with each other in real time. You can find an overview below of all of the functions that are currently possible in the COYO Engage chat.

Permission: User >"Write and Receive Messages."
Note:
This permission applies globally, the user can no longer chat, even in the web application, if deactivated.

(If they open the chat again, the archiving of the respective chat is lifted. Exception: group chats)

Push notifications

- Users receive push notifications for new messages.

Mute chats

- Users can mute chats (1:1 and groups) to no longer receive push notifications.
Note: Users continue to see an indicator with the number of unread messages for muted chats.

The newsfeed in COYO Engage is connected to the pages in COYO and their blog articles. If a page has numerous blog apps, all articles from these apps are published in COYO Engage.
- A user only receives messages if they have subscribed to the respective page.
- Auto-subscriptions are also shown, naturally without the option of unsubscribing from these pages.

- Users can see a list of all profiles.

- The list of colleagues contains a search. This searches through the following profile fields:

Profiles
|
- Users can view the profiles of colleagues with all of the information available in COYO. This also applies to user-defined profile fields.

Editing profiles
|
- Users can edit their own profile in COYO Engage. "Blocked" fields (managed by an AD) are taken into account in this.

Getting in contact
|
- Users have the opportunity to get in contact with a colleague directly from their profile. This includes direct links to:
- Start a chat
- Write an e-mail (via e-mail app)
- Make telephone calls (via telephone function)
To be able to make telephone calls or write an e-mail, the corresponding information needs to be saved in the profile.

Contact synchronization
|
- During the initial synchronization, all profiles are sent to COYO Engage in a ZIP file. A ZIP file contains written profile information but no pictures/avatars.
- After the initial sync, the contact list is regularly updated when the app is launched.

Offline availability
|
- The entire list of colleagues is also available offline, so that e.g. telephone numbers can be retrieved and called.

Permissions

- Users only have access to the list of colleagues if they have the permission to do so.
- Users can see individual profiles by following profile links, e.g. from a chat or an article.

Single Sign-on (SSO)
|
COYO Engage uses the same authentication mechanisms as COYO.
Dedicated UI elements are given for Microsoft (Sign in with Office) and Google (Sign in with G Suite)
Two factor authentication (2FA) can be achieved via the connected identity provider.

App lock / passcode
|
From version 2.9.0 COYO Engage offers an app lock feature.
The app can be secured with a PIN or password. Additional biometrics can also be used to unlock the app.
The app lock can be enforced by an EMM admin.

Terms of use
|
When activated, COYO Engage will prompt the user to accept or decline the terms of use set by the respective COYO instance on the initial login.
|
User agent
|
The user agent is partially written by the system but will include "COYO Engage", except for white-label apps which will include the full app name "Fruit Company".

X-Client-Type
|
The X-Client-Type is equal to the full app name, all special characters ", - ! ? = " are removed, limited to the English alphabet e.g. "Fruit company", "COYO Engage"
