On your marks, get set, go! You’re in the starting blocks and looking forward to finally getting started building your digital home. Great! One of the most important and initial steps is to put together your project dream team.
You shouldn’t just include the "usual suspects", such as IT and Internal Communication, in this. The introduction of COYO involves the whole company. So, we recommend that you round up various departments, as an interdisciplinary project team best represents the requirements of the company and offers various different viewpoints.
Who are we taking about? Human Resources and representatives from the Works Council and Data Protection should be involved. Last but not least, the managers are a cornerstone in the success of the project. You know your people best and you know when you should bring which stakeholders into the project. What’s important is: the earlier, the better!
The chosen ones will be by your side as the project progresses and will help you with many tasks. So, be sure to communicate right from the start what benefits are offered by introducing COYO and why it’s important that they’re on board as representatives.
Do you want to find out more about the further planning and the most important steps in the project? In our e-book "4 Steps to Successfully Introduce a Social Intranet", we give you useful tips & tricks for launching COYO.
Please note, that this e-book is only available in German.
Once you’ve identified the relevant stakeholders, it’s time to create structures. Set clear responsibilities on the part of the project managers and for upcoming topics and your work packages. This creates transparency in the team and moves the project forward in the best possible way.
Get the members of your project team used to COYO as early as possible and show how you want to use it later on. What about virtual teamwork in a Community, for instance? This way, all of the team members are up to date on the project at all times and you create a place for direct interaction.
We have created a clear example for you of what a team Community might look like. Be inspired and take a look.
