If you manage the mobile devices in your company centrally, you can also offer the COYO app to specific users via enterprise mobility management (EMM). Find out here what configuration options are available to you.
Note:
For the COYO app and the options mentioned here, you can use most EMM providers that are part of the AppConfig.org community. It is important that the EMM does not need a their own SDK within the COYO app for an option, because we don't implement any SDK.
For the sake of simplicity, we understand EMM, as an all-encompassing term, to also mean the associated disciplines such as Mobile Application Management (MAM) and Mobile Device Management (MDM).
Configuration in the EMM
The COYO app supports a body of guidelines that can be enforced via EMM and that are compatible with most EMM providers.
Note for Android:
The COYO app or your white-label version must probably be connected to your EMM service via Google for Work.
These parameters are available for the configuration:
Note:
- Android:
Your EMM service must be able to read the configuration options from the app as soon as the app is initialized in your EMM service. - iOS:
You must enter the keys and values in the EMM service manually. Be careful to observe the case (lower case and upper case).
Other EMM functions
AppConfig.org suggests a list of EMM functions that should be available to you without our having to implement them explicitly in the COYO app:
- App tunnel (VPN)
- Specify (app) encryption
- Remote deletion of the app
- Deactivation of screenshots
- …
You can find further information in your EMM provider’s documentation or here:
Make COYO app available
Companies with both managed and personal devices
You can mix it up: If your company allows both the company’s own smartphones (COD = corporate-owned devices) and also personal phones (BYOD = Bring your own device), the COYO app will slip into the concept without difficulty. Without modification, you can make COYO app available to part of your workforce via EMM and offer the remainder a simple installation procedure via the app stores. We’ve discussed the rollout scenarios in detail in a separate article.
Particularities for white-labeling customers
The COYO app is also available via your EMM provider in its white-label version. For iOS you must use the Apple VPP or its successor the Apple Business Manager, and you must have your Business Manager ID activated by us. To do this please contact our Service Desk.
