Haiilo is multilingual. With the help of multilanguage, you can make apps and pages accessible in different languages and expand them with further functions using our paid Multi-Language add-on. This allows you to connect your team globally and offer company information in the language of the respective location. This way, you can make sure none of your employees feel left out. We’ll explain to you here what multi-language looks like.
The system texts are translated with the help of language keys. System texts are texts and terms that are saved in Haiilo by default and the users constantly encounter in various places.
You can not only insert translations here but also customize formulations.

If you want to add further languages to your digital home, this article will help you.
You can expand your Haiilo with our paid Multi-Language add-on. Especially for companies that encompass several nations and languages, the multi-language add-on is a sensible addition to your digital home.
The add-on includes:
- Automatic translations of timeline posts
- Multilanguage for pages, blog and wiki articles, and content apps
Activate the Multi-Language add-on
You require a valid license key to expand your Digital Home with the Multi-Language add-on. Simply create a ticket via the Service Desk. Our account managers will create an offer for you and activate your license. You then just need to activate the add-on in your Haiilo. You can find out how here.
For On-Premises installations, the service has to first be activated on the server. To do this, set the parameter COYO_ENABLE_EVENT_BUS=true in the .env file and COYO_ENABLE_TRANSLATION=true in the .services file.
You then need to restart your Haiilo.
Translation of timeline posts
By automatically translating timeline posts, your users can quickly and easily translate posts that don’t correspond to the language saved in their Haiilo. The translation is provided by the service provider DeepL and must be connected via the REST API.
In Haiilo, you can translate your pages, blog and wiki articles, and content apps. This functionality requires the involvement of your editors. Your users thus have a uniform language in their Digital Home. You can find out exactly what that looks like here.
