"My files" within Haiilo is the place where a user can store files that are important to them. This is also the springboard into the Haiilo document structure.
How do I find my documents and what is contained here?
You can find this area in the dropdown menu below your profile photo. Once you click on the "My files" box, you are in your personal documents.

Here you can upload your documents, which are primarily relevant to you and do not need to be shared in a workspace or on a page. Or you can use it for documents that you frequently use or send – this gives you quick access to them.
However, you can also switch to the entire document structure of your Haiilo using the home symbol (house):

What can I access with the help of the document library?
You can access all of the documents that are uploaded to homepages, pages, and workspaces and to which you have access based on your subscription and membership settings.

In this way, you have access to the entire overview of all documents that you are permitted to view and you don’t need to click through all of the pages or communities individually.
Note:
Access to this area is controlled via the permission "Access file library" and this is also the permission that is required to view documents in document apps.

Where are files in the timeline saved?
Files that you upload to the timeline in a post are saved in an encrypted form in the database for your instance.
In the article "FAQ on the timeline", you can also find answers to these two questions:
- If I post a file to the timeline of a community, why is this not stored directly in the file archive for the community?
- What happens to timeline attachments if the post is deleted?
