We recommend that you give your users the freedom to create and edit events themselves.

Since Cloud release V26, the permissions to invite groups have been saved as a general permission ("Invite groups"). The general permission "Invite communities" has also been available since the release. There has also been the general permission "Invite pages" since Cloud release V27, allowing you to invite all of the page subscribers to an event. These permissions allow very large groups of people to be invited. We thus recommend only assigning the permissions to admins.

Note:
For all those who are not yet on V26 or higher, the permission "Invite groups to an event" can still be found under the events permissions.

Create an event in the name of a page or community
Users can create an event in the name of a page or community, provided that they are the administrators of the page/community organizing the event. If users create an event without naming a page or community as the organizer, this event is publicly visible to all users who follow the creator.
Who can accept?
Anyone who was invited to an event. It’s currently possible for the users to actively decide who is invited to an event. As a result, colleagues are not preselected, but must be intentionally selected by the organizer.
