You can share your content with others in COYO. This option is particularly useful if you want to draw attention to something important. Have you perhaps created a wiki article on the working hours regulation for student trainees and want to make your corresponding colleagues aware of it? Then the share function is the ideal solution for you. With its help, you can easily share the post with the student trainees. The same also applies to pages, workspaces, events and blogs.
This is how it works
Access the content that you want to share. You can share almost anything in COYO, a page, a workspace, an event, a blog, a wiki, a timeline post,...Let’s assume that you want to share a blog post that has been created on a page. Under the post, you will find the option "Share".

A new window opens when you click on this selection. You have various options here.
As a first step, you can choose with whom you want to share the blog article. The addressee can be chosen freely: A (natural) person or elements such as workspaces and pages are possible. However, the shared post is only visible if a timeline is also used in the target element. If you share a post with a workspace, you will reach all of the people who are a member there. If necessary, you can add a message.

Behind the advanced options lie two further possible settings:
- Share as:
You can share the post either in your name or in the name of a page or workspace (provided you have the permission). - Sticky duration:
To achieve greater attention, you can mark the post as "sticky" when you share the content in a workspace, page or event. You cannot use the sticky function if you share the post on a user’s personal timeline.

Note:
If the status of a blog article is changed from "Published" to "Draft", the share is also removed from the timeline.
What determines whether I can share content?
Every user can share a post, blog or wiki.
The permissions and roles system also determines which "person" you can share a post as: COYO offers the option of acting in the name of a page, event or workspace – either inside (local) or outside (global) the corresponding element. You can find out more about this in the article "Act in the name of a page, workspace or event".

Reactions to shared content
Comments or likes for a shared wiki or blog article are aggregated directly under the original post and not under your "share". The reactions are thus permanently linked to the post and can also be accessed and viewed by others at a later time.
Visibility and security
By sharing private content, users can make this public. You can therefore share content from a private element (e.g. workspace) in a public area.
If a user clicks on the number of shares, all of the shares are listed there. However, if a message is added to a private share, this content remains hidden to non-authorized users.
