If you want to put a post in the spotlight because it is especially important, you can set this post as "sticky".

In order to add obligatory posts you can use sticky timeline posts. These are pinned to the top of a global timeline or to the user's timeline for a fixed amount of time or until the users marks a post as read.

Can I "un"sticky a post?
Yes, you can unsticky a post after posting it. Click on the additional settings and select unsticky. It is then again a normal timeline post.

In order do add a sticky item, you need the permission for "create sticky timeline items". If you cannot see the above mentioned option in a timeline post, please contact your company's admin.

Can I look up who has read the post?
Currently, there is no option to look up who has received and who has read a timeline item as in chat apps. But you can be sure: a post that is pinned to the top of a timeline and that has to be set on read manually raises attention.
Therefore, choose wisely when using sticky posts, so that they keep their high priority indication for your users.

Can a post still be set to "sticky" after it has been created?
Contributions on timelines can only be set to "sticky" during creation. If you want to put an old post back into focus, you can share it again and create this new post as "sticky":

Can each post be set as "sticky"?
Exactly, if a user has permission to "Create Sticky Posts on the Timeline" and shares something, then this can also be set to Sticky. Based on this, I also recommend that you grant this permission with caution.
