COYO offers the possibility to add new versions to a file. Basically, this applies to all common file formats. Important for you to know: There are no limits on how often a new version can be uploaded.
The older data is not lost either, but is archived. In this way you can also view old files based on the version history and, if necessary, restore older versions.

Where can I find the option to upload a new version?
There are two ways to do this:
- In the overview, you can open the other options for documents. There is then the option to upload a new version directly (left figure).
- You can also open a preview of the document and then open the "History" tab. On the one hand, the version history is displayed and, on the other hand, it is possible to upload a new document directly (right figure).

Can I turn off the versioning?
No, there are currently no plans to disable versioning.
The background: It is only possible to restore an older version and avoid inconsistencies using a history. It is always visible when the document was renewed and - if the user interface is configured accordingly - who made the last change can be traced directly.

What do I need to set to upload new versions to document widgets?
To be able to update the document in the widget, the right must be set to be able to edit the layout of the corresponding page/workspace.
Accordingly: it depends on where the widget is located (start page, pages, workspace). If it is the layout of a workspace / a page, you must be the administrator for the element. For the global layout, you need the role: Create and manage global widgets that must be enabled. For start pages: you must be the admin of the start page.

How does versioning work, when I use the edit in office add on?
When using edit in office, the timestamp is changing as long as you are within in 30 minute time window. Afterwards, a new version is created.
How can I retrieve old versions of a document?
Simply open the preview of the document in question by clicking once on the document. In the right overview bar are two tabs: Information and History.
If you click on the history, you can either directly add a new version or check which previous versions existed and if necessary also restore an older version.
