A practical example: global and quick updates combined in one page.
Pages are the digital counterpart of the well-known and nowadays often orphaned employee newspaper: exciting articles, fast messages, small ads, the canteen plan for the current week - your imagination is hardly limited by the powerful app concept supplemented by widgets. But in some cases this is also where the challenge begins: which content should be digitally displayed?
Objective with the page:
The customer in our example had the goal to do without an analogue employee newspaper and instead to publish articles in weekly intervals, which report on news from the different departments. In addition, short-term news should be played out quickly and intuitively. Two further aspects will be added:

- Short introduction of the management and the company
- Transparent organization of two important ordering functions (office supply orders and business card orders).

An important practical tip: Apps with "real" names help the users, because they directly explain the content and goal of the app in the context of the page and inform the users. Read more about it in the related article!

Apps and their use case - what is what?
Let's take a closer look at the apps used. In our example the following apps have been used:
- blog
- event
- timeline
- subject matter
- scroll
- blank
Here, too, the blog serves to disseminate information - but with a slightly different objective: the editorial staff now disseminates important information and updates for which all employees require further information.
The events summarize all upcoming events in an area - in this case: all events that are interesting and important for everyone. Examples are: a new communication format with customers to be tested, a summer party or a Christmas party.
A timeline can be used in this area to distribute Micronews in particular, which are important and relevant for everyone but do not require an extra explanatory blog. Typical examples would be, for example, the announcement of work by craftsmen or the request to keep company parking spaces free.
The content app is our most flexible tool, as it allows you to create a clear landscape with the help of layout specifications and our widget construction kit, which creates information and jump points to the other areas of the company.
Now we come to two apps, which are quite similar in configuration, because you can freely configure which fields you need and what they should be called.
With the help of a list app you can freely create a clear summary of information. With us we have managed to bundle and centralize the orders of all office supplies and thus make our team assistants considerably easier. However, you cannot send your orders, they always remain clearly arranged among each other.
Last but not least the form app: here too you first configure the fields. In contrast to the list app, however, it allows you a view like on a printed form: all fields are below each other and you have more possibilities to add descriptive texts with your requirements. It is also possible to actually submit a form, this submitted form can then be found in your personal files.
